I see some fantastic exchange opportunities through Interval International.  SVC @ Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy is showing availability for one bedroom units for the entire months of March and April.  Spring Break week is showing up which could make for an awesome vacation for those on the west coast or for those who do mind a long plane ride.

As you can see above, the reviews for this particular resort are stellar with almost a complete 5 star rating. 

In addition, in looking at prices for the week of March 11th, booking directly with Tripadvisor results in a total cost of $2,135.70.

Again, comparing the "retail cost" to the maintenance fees, you can see that this offers some tremendous savings.  I am currently using a 2 bedroom timeshare to see this availability so I would only need to deposit 2/3 of my points to be able to exchange into these particular weeks.  My maintenance fees are roughly $1200 per year so this week would cost me about $800 plus the exchange fee of $179 which provides me with over 50% savings on this particular week.

If you can use these, grab them soon as they will not last long!

Hyatt Ka'anapali Beach Resort is Hyatt's newest timeshare property.  It is on my top five list of timeshares to visit in the next couple of year. 

Since it is Maui and since it is new, getting into this property is almost impossible.  However, upon looking, I see a few opportunities to check out this property through an internal Hyatt exchange.  You need to be a Hyatt owner and have enough Hyatt points to be able to reserve these weeks but if that is you, check them out.

This actually is a decent list of availability.  However, the vast amount of the availability is for 2 night stays.  Since all weeks at this new resort are considered Diamond weeks, the seven week stays cost 2200 points for a 2 bedroom and 2950 for a 3 bedroom.  As explained in my economic analysis post concerning Hyatt timeshares, these high value weeks generally come with a premium so most Hyatt owners would not have enough points to be able to get a full week in this resort.  2 or 4 nights stays are attainable but they do require a lot of points.  With a low level 1300 week, you generally could do better exchanging through Interval to get a full week in a 2 bedroom.

However, this is a fantastic new property located on the beautiful island of Maui.  Sometime you have to splurge so if you are a Hyatt owner and any of these reservations work for your schedule, jump on it and enjoy one of the most sought after new properties.
