Interval International Daily Deals: Upgrade today to Platinum for 50% off

Interval International has been running numerous promotions each day.  Some of these have been worthwhile while others have been a pass. 

Today, they are allowing you to upgrade your membership to Platinum for 50%.  This is valid on 1 or 2 year options.  Basically, you can upgrade to Platinum for $49 for one year or for $98 for 2 years. 

This is a solid deal in my opinion.  Platinum members get $50 off Getaways so taking one Getaway in the next 1 years will pay for itself.  In addition, you will receive guest certificates for free instead of the $59 fee. 

I think it is worthwhile to upgrade and there is little downside provided that you will use  the Getaway option.
